Glimepiride

Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea compound and is used to control blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes. When cultured cells in the presence of a physiological insulin dose and glimepiride (10 ?M), 2-deoxyglucose uptake was increased to 186% of control.
