Description of target: CD99 antigen-like protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CD99L2 gene. It is mapped to Xq28. This gene encodes a cell-surface protein that is similar to CD99. A similar protein in mouse functions as an adhesion molecule during leukocyte extravasation.
