Anethole

Anethole is a type of orally active aromatic compound that is widely found in nature and used as a flavoring agent. Anethole possesses anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, anesthetic, estrogenic, central nervous system depressant, hypnotic, insecticidal, and gastroprotective effects.
